the mother, the artisan, the priestess

My Story

Young girl with puffy hair wearing a yellow and orange striped shirt and denim overalls, seated indoors.
A woman wearing glasses and red lipstick is holding a baby wrapped in a red blanket. They are in a room with wooden cabinets and dishware in the background.

I grew up in the church.

On my mother’s side I went to the same little white southern church she grew up in on a hill by the railroad tracks in a little old town, steeple and all. I feared the rapture, naturally, but I was taught love, tending a good garden, fishin’, living feral and free. On Good God’s Green Earth, ya know!

On my father’s side, we went to church multiple days a week, your stereotypical legliz, lekol, lakay Haitian American household. My father and grandfather were pastors, yet at home I was taught my ancestral practices. Honoring those who came before us, herbalism and medicine work, prayer and devotion.

I had a very spiritual(though painfully dogmatic) upbringing that reinforced the practices I still partake in now.

However, the one thing that was missing from this raising was The Woman.

As a very curious, intelligent, and rebellious child I was physically and psychologically abused and indoctrinated not to question the very patriarchal teachings attached to the bible.

Here started my long journey with the path of the feminine. I read and researched my way through not only my own ancestral spiritual systems but spiritual history globally. What I consistently found was a long standing erasure and disregard for the rich existence of Matrifocal documentation across many societies and simultaneously consistent proof that Matriarchal structures and ideologies nurtured our humanity and unity in ways I have yet to see through patriarchy.

I began reclaiming a spiritually attuned existence in high school through intentional movement and nourishing my body with plants and whole foods, but it wasn’t after high school that I went from being an academic who read and researched to a fully embodied woman who also lives it in community.

I prioritized women led gatherings, communities, and friendships. I deepened further into my internal nourishment which allowed me to start pouring into the women around me through my artistry and guidance.

A woman with blue braided hair standing in a field at dusk, raising her right arm with a clenched fist, wearing a black top and a multicolored shawl.

Being pregnant with my son at 19, Motherhood became a deep well of wisdom to further investigate through the lens of Matriarchy. I homeschooled my son, found community in other mothers, maidens, and crones. The village became my circle and at this point I was cracked wide open to the idea that we can create a new “normal” for our society.

The rest is herstory.

I’ve now been conducting sacred services, offering spiritual guidance, and aiding spaces for art and connection, rewilding, and Matrifocal teachings for over 7 years.

I’ve been called over and over to expand and share not only my medicine but the magnetism between oneself and a life of peace and abundance once these codes have been received.

I am a Haitian-American woman born and raised in the Florida countryside, now residing in the cityscape of Metro Atlanta.

I’m a devotee of intentional womanhood. Mother to one radiant son, a shy snake, and a sneaky cat.

Becoming recognized clergy in 2019, I gained protected authority to perform ritual such as weddings, funerals, and sacraments that are legally recognized by the United States.
